Thomas Genon wins Red Bull Joyride!

An impending electrical storm marred this year's slopestyle big ticket, the Red Bull Joyride at Crankworx. One man who won't be complaining about an area of low pressure however, is Thomas Genon. The young Belgian edged out Martin 'The Machine' Soderstrom to take home the win and US$25,000.

Third spot belonged to crowd favourite Cam McCaul. He'd been out injured since the Claymore Challenge earlier in the year and hadn't touched a bike until practice for the Joyride only a few days ago.

The man widely predicted to take top honours, Brandon Semenuk, destroyed a wheel in his first run and then crashed in his second. That custom gold Red Bull lid was a little premature then…
