Video: Steve Peat’s custom World Champs bike wins the patriotism prize, hands down

Lots of riders have custom kit at this year’s World Champs but Steve Peat’s taken things to a whole new level. It’s his 20th Worlds and his sponsors have gone all-out to help him mark it in style. And it’s not just his Santa Cruz V10 Carbon frame and Royal Racing kit that get the red, white and blue Union Flag look.

Peaty‘s got airbrushed carbon rims from ENVE Composites and white lowers with one-off decals for his air-sprung Fox 40 fork, plus a custom coloured e*thirteen chain device, Chris King bits, Burgtec stem and Lizard Skins grips. Hell, even his Five Tens continue the patriotic theme. It’s only his Monster socks letting the side down – come on guys, sort him out with some red, white and blue claw marks, sharpish!
