Check out Aaron Gwin’s new Trek Session 9.9 downhill bike – being World Cup champ has its perks!
Wow. We think we’re in love. This black-and-chrome beauty is Aaron Gwin‘s new bike – a custom Trek Session 9.9 produced to celebrate his status as 2012 World Cup winner and US national champ.
While World Champs bikes are all about flying the flag – particularly Steve Peat’s! – Trek World Racing have gone down a classier route with Gwin’s ride. With its carbon curves, stealth black paintwork and bling chrome decals, it’s a real looker.
Sounds like it’s already received its first battle scars, though – last night Gwin tweeted: “Well today was one of the funnest days of riding I’ve had at a race. Unfortunately it ended with a big lawn dart in the rocks, dang. #hurtin.“

There's plenty of room on that top tube for '2013 World Champ' if Gwin can beat his demons next year. Source: facebook.com/TrekBicycle
