Something for the Weekend #20

We couldn’t let Halloween week pass by without bringing you some spooky shenanigans, but first up check out a metal fixie kid, some extreme shopping, Chewie Rae Jepsen and more stair hops than you can shake a stick at.

Cycling robot

Now this is cool, but why give him a fixie, for Chrissakes? Next thing you know, he’ll be wearing skinny jeans and growing a crap wire-wool moustache.

Extreme shopping

Here’s a video sent in by one of our Facebook fans, Darren Wilson. Watch as his mate Mike Spence hits the supermarket on a disability scooter, DH style. Bonus points for the foot-out cornering!

Hopping mad

The haters say trials riding is just pointless hopping around. This video does absolutely nothing to disprove that. Vittorio Brumotti climbs the 160-storey Burji Khalifa tower in Dubai on his bike, one step at a time. Just one question: where’s the fun in that?

Star Wars vs Carly Rae Jepsen

Call Me Maybe has got to be the most covered song of the year. Now even Darth Vader and Chewie are getting in on the act!

Not a Star Wars fan? Hell, it’s a good excuse to revisit the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders’ version – that magic combination of a catchy tune and girls in bikinis.

Halloween minimix

Here’s something to chase the saccharine strains of Carly Rae from your brain – a mash-up of classic ’80s horror movies by Dancefloor Outlaws. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore!

Blood Trails

You know what most horror movies are missing? Mountain bikes! Not this one though. Sadly, that’s about all it’s got going for it…

Jake Nicholls MX

Now this is more like it – top MX rider Jake Nicholls goes for a pre-Halloween-party shred with mates including DH racer Rich Thomas (Wideopen).

Kuala Lumpur by day and night

Last but by no means least, check out this awesome time-lapse video of the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. Apparently, it took 400 hours and 19,997 photos to create. Well worth it, we reckon. It’s more garishly colourful than Sam Hill’s race kits!
