Lapierre International sign Emmeline Ragot for 2013

Team Lapierre International have announced a new signing for 2013 – multiple-time downhill world champion Emmeline Ragot. The Frenchwoman joins Sam Blenkinsop and junior world champ/World Cup champ Loic Bruni on the squad, along with another new member, current youth rider and 2013 junior Loris Vergier.

The announcement means Blenki’s Kiwi countryman Cam Cole is no longer on the team. Rumours suggest he could be moving to Yeti. Ragot’s move also means MS Mondraker have a gap in their line-up – assuming Brook MacDonald, Markus Pekoll and Damien Spagnolo are staying on board.

Ragot has won the World Champs twice as a junior and twice as a senior, but missed out this year, losing the rainbow stripes to Morgane Charre and the World Cup series to Rachel Atherton. Rest assured, she’ll be gunning for gold in 2013!

The 2013 Lapierre International squad will ride the Lapierre DH Team, kitted out with RockShox suspension, SRAM gearing, Avid brakes, Schwalbe tyres and SDG saddles.
