Check out the new Urge Real Jet enduro helmet. Are you feeling it?

Urge’s Real Jet helmet is said to have been inspired by vintage BMX lids, though we reckon it’s got more than a hint of the sadly-discontinued Troy Lee D2 Open Face about it too. Of course, it wouldn’t be an Urge helmet without some massive round vents, angular ‘Spock ears’ on the sides and some love-’em-or-hate-’em graphics.

Protection wise, it’s closer to a full-face than a trail lid, with thick, moto-style padding, a fibreglass shell and CE EN1078 certification – and that’s reflected in its 800g+ weight. Urge say the limited edition Real Jet is designed for “a dirt track, a bike park, an all-mountain session”, but we reckon it’s most likely to find favour with gravity enduro racers. It costs £180/€249/US$288.
