Readers’ Rides: Fiona and her Felt Compulsion

Readers’ Rides is a chance for you to show off your favourite trail and your trusty steed. We kick it off with Fiona from Ireland, who’s sent us in a video of her pinning it down one of her local routes. It’s one of the coolest coastal tracks we’ve seen and an awesome way to start the day!

Name: Fiona Madden
Local riding spots: Howth Head cliffs, Ballinastoe and Three Rock Mountain
Years riding: 13
Trail featured in video: ”Howth Head has some of the best views of Dublin city. It’s very popular with walkers and you don’t see many mountain bikers. In order to stay out of everyone’s way and gather some speed without meeting people, it’s necessary to get up early – very early!”
Camera equipment used: GoPro HD HERO Original and an EGO-MOUNT from Photographic Tendencies
Bike: Felt Compulsion Elite 2011

This is the bike Fiona used in the video - her Felt Compulsion Elite 2011

We don't know what's nicer - the bike or the view!

The Felt's 150mm of travel is just right for soaking up the Irish trails

Fiona Felt ego mount

Fiona used a boom mount clamped onto her bar to get the backwards-facing shots of rider and trail seen in her video

Thanks to Fiona for the great shots and the video!
