Watch new Nukeproof signing Grant ‘Chopper’ Fielder ride Iceland with Sam Pilgrim

It seems like Grant Fielder’s been spending more time building slopestyle courses than riding them lately but the UK dirt jump star is going to be back with a vengeance in 2013 after joining downhill ace Sam Hill and US trick meister Jack Fogelquist on Nukeproof‘s rider roster.

It’s a big move for Chopper, who’s been with Kona as long as we can remember. So what’ll he be riding? That’s going to be a tough decision! He’s got a full quiver of bikes at his disposal – the Nukeproof Rook (slopestyle), Solum (dirt jump), Scalp (downhill), Snap (four-cross) and Mega TR (trail) – and he’ll be helping to test and develop new kit too.

“Having seen the brand grow and develop such great products it was a no-brainer to get involved,” says Fielder. “… My goals for 2013 are to remain competitive at the highest level at some of the most prestigious events of the year, including Bearclaw Invitational and other FMB World Tour events…”

It’ll be great to see Chopper back on the world stage. We haven’t got any footage of him on the new bikes yet so you’ll just have to make do with this previously-unseen video of him riding Iceland with Sam Pilgrim
