Showstoppers – six mountain bikes that had us drooling at The London Bike Show

We’ve been having a nose around The London Bike Show and in among the crazy-light road bikes and some truly horrible commuter garb we’ve managed to sniff out some prime pieces of mountain bike eye candy. Here are six that stopped us in our tracks, from Transition, Saracen, Devinci, Orange/Hope, Intense and Canyon.

1 Transition Covert CF

This is the first of the new carbon fibre Transition Coverts to hit the UK, and it’s a beaut! With 160mm of travel it’s all set for some all-mountain or enduro action – or you can whack on a Fox DHX RC4 coil shock and a longer fork and turn it into a bike park behemoth!

It’s got a tapered head tube, 12mm rear axle and routing for a RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper post, but our favourite bit is the COCK and BALLS technology! That’s Transitions’ tongue-in-cheek name for their frame manufacturing process (Completely Optimized Carbon Kinetics) and suspension layout (Basically Aligned Linear Leverage System).
