24 hours left to snap up a piece of MTB history

Fancy snapping up a piece of mountain bike history? Gee Atherton is selling the carbon GT Fury frame he piloted to second place at the 2012 World Championships on eBay. And you needn’t feel guilty about plundering your piggy bank, as all proceeds will go to charity.

It’s not just Gee’s frame that’s up for grabs – his sister Rachel and their GT Factory Racing teammate Marc Beaumont are auctioning theirs off too. All feature the custom red, white and blue graphics that were produced as a one-off for the World Champs, and all come with a little something extra supplied by the riders.

Like what you see? The auctions end tomorrow so you’d better get bidding! You can join in at http://bit.ly/AthertonGT. All proceeds will go to Hans Rey’s charity Wheels4Life, which provides bikes to people in developing countries. So far, enough money has been bid to buy 48 bikes. More info at www.wheels4life.org.
