Weight weenies rejoice – the first lightweight dropper post is here!

Reliability used to be the big bugbear with dropper posts. Now that brands like RockShox (with the Reverb) and KS (with the Lev) seem to have got that sorted, it was inevitable that the weight weenies would get involved. And here it is – the world's first lightweight dropper post, the KS Lev Carbon.

The Taiwanese company have had to simplify things a bit to keep target weight down to 380g – over 100g lighter than the Reverb, standard Lev and CrankBrothers Kronolog, and a whopping 240g lighter than the Fox DOSS.

The Lev Carbon only has 65mm (2.6in) of travel and there won't be a 27.2mm option for older frames and hardtails. Still in the testing phase at the moment, it'll cost around US$600 when it hits shops in 2014. Check out the photos to find out more.
